Precise pretreatment: This is the foundation that determines coating quality. The general steps are: high-pressure water washing → degreasing (removal of oil and grease) → multiple water rinses → acid washing (removal of scale) → another water rinse → surface treatment (such as phosphating or eco-friendly chromium-free passivation) → final rinse with pure water. This step ensures the metal surface is absolutely clean and forms a conversion coating to enhance adhesion.
Innovative Electrocoating: To apply a uniform protective layer even to heat exchangers with complex structures, certain patented technologies employ special methods:
Two-stage electrocoating + workpiece flipping: First, a single electrocoating cycle is performed, followed by flipping the workpiece 180 degrees for a second cycle. This utilizes gravity to allow the electrocoating solution to flow into and cover “dead spots” such as internal cavities and crevices.
Auxiliary Anode Technology: For slender tubular components, conventional electrophoresis struggles to coat the inner walls. By inserting an auxiliary anode rod into the center of the tube, a uniform electric field is generated, thereby forming a complete coating on the inner walls as well.
